ARA on the History ChannelIf you happened to watch the History Channel last night, you saw the "Boneyard" Program segment on automobiles. The first 11-minute clip focused on automotive recycling and included ARA CEO, George Eliades in three brief scenes commenting. Notification of the program's air time came too late to alert everyone to it but it will be repeated. The interview with George took place in the ARA conference room and was done quickly. The camera crew flew in, set up, told him to look at the camera and just answer the questions, which numbered over 20, and which he was not shown in advance. There were no re-takes nor second chances and he had no idea what would be used nor how. Fifteen minutes after they started filming, he was told "you did good, thank you," and they were gone. Asked what he thought after seeing it, his response was, "Whew, thank goodness I didn't embarrass the industry, ARA or myself. I had no idea what to expect." Feedback from several people who did see it thought it was positive and, frankly, very good. If you missed the "Boneyard:Automotive" special, it is scheduled to air again Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 3:00 P.M. EST on the History Channel.
